About the volunteering opportunity
Our goal as a campaign alliance is to establish Fair Trade not just as a product on the shelf, but as a permanent fixture in our city.
As an ambassador, you will look after information stands and talk to people about fair trade. Depending on the occasion, this could be about chocolate, sport or textiles - the range is huge!
In this way, you will actively support us in making Fair Trade more visible and better known on our doorstep.

Your Tasks
The specific tasks vary depending on the occasion.

- supervise playful activities such as the wheel of fortune with questions about fair trade
- draw attention to fair locations in Berlin via a city map
- accompany a goal wall shoot-out with fairly produced footballs,
- get in touch with interested people and draw attention to current offers and materials on fair trade
- partly take over the transportation of the materials and assist in setting up the stand

For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.

- are passionate about social justice and are familiar with fair trade as a development policy approach - or are willing to learn about it.
- are open and empathetic in dealing with different people and cultures.
- are a strong communicator and enjoy sharing knowledge and inspiring others.
- are independent and reliable.

The time required depends on the event and can be determined individually. This means that you can be active by the hour or possibly for several days at a time. The assignments are always double-staffed so that you can support each other and take alternate breaks.
