As a resident of the Hufeisensiedlung, I have not only been watering 50 trees in public spaces in the neighborhood since 2016. Today, in 2025, I am NeuköllnsKlimaSchutzPate2024. The Neukölln district office officially appointed me in April 2024. My honorary office, which has now been officially honored four times for the preservation of our overall Berlin urban nature in the public space in the neighborhoods, is now welcomed by Frank Walter Steinmeier, Kai Wegner, Joe Chialo, Hakan Demir, Janine Wolters, Verena Hubertz, Helmut Kleebank, Raed Saleh & Luisa Neubauer. I give our suffering urban nature a face in public spaces 365 days a year. In addition to watering trees, I am present with information stands at climate fairs, jogging in a tree costume as the only hobby runner with a BerlinerBäumeWässerer watering can in my hand at official SCC runs in Berlin and at climate demos in Berlin. The rbb24abendschau first broadcast me in a tree costume at the Berlin New Year's Run 2025. At the Berlin Half Marathon at the Adidas City Night Run 2025, I will be jogging in my own costume. The appeal of all the campaigns mentioned is to water trees together in public spaces throughout Berlin, to be active in small steps against global climate change and to convey a feeling for the importance of urban nature in public spaces. The water for watering trees is provided by public water pumps in the neighborhoods. As a private individual for local climate protection in public spaces, I am a member of the Berlin State Network for Civic Engagement, our Protestant Hephatha church community and our SPD Hufeisensiedlung Abteilung9. All institutions support my officially honored voluntary commitment to local climate protection in public spaces. However, they are not organizers. Pumping, pouring, photographing and sharing online on your own social networks is encouraged. However, individual care must be taken to ensure that only those people who expressly wish to do so are visible on site. (Call from the responsible person Sebastian Herges). From time to time there is also press coverage on the subject of tree irrigation. Participation at the Berliner KlimaTag/IHK KlimaSchutzPartner and BerlinerFreiwilligenbörse trade fairs with an information stand would also be desirable. The same applies to the Berlin Half Marathon and the Berlin New Year's Run.
No prerequisites. The organizer Sebastian Herges does not tolerate Nazis/racism/sexism in any form on site starting from participants towards other volunteers/people/groups. Peaceful interaction among and with each other. It is paid attention to everything on site.

No accident insurance, No food provided. Please bring watering cans/carts/buckets. Please have a cell phone with you to call me (group leader) Sebastian Herges if you get lost / can call him if you are possibly too late and first find no one.
