About the volunteering opportunity
We are looking for volunteers who would like to help us with the garden maintenance of the outdoor area at the DRK-Freizi Alt-Aumund.
The German Red Cross Bremen District Association currently employs over 1,400 staff and around 800 volunteers in a wide variety of areas. In the spirit of humanity, we are committed to the life, health, well-being, protection, peaceful coexistence and dignity of all people.
The Alt-Aumund Youth Recreation Center is now run by the Bremen District Association of the German Red Cross. Our open work with children and young people focuses on promoting participation and independent action, gender-related work, prevention of violence and respectful coexistence. We want to offer children and young people a space in which they can develop freely and feel comfortable. There is plenty of space for leisure, exercise and creativity both indoors and outdoors.
Your Tasks
Tasks:Mowing the lawn: You make sure that the lawn looks neat and tidy.Maintaining the outside area: You keep the outside area clean and attractive.Weeding: You'll remove weeds to keep the garden areas in good condition.General gardening: This may include planting, repotting, fertilizing and caring for flowers, shrubs and trees, as well as foliage work. Working independently is important.

What's needed
You should know what needs to be done in a garden. Basic knowledge of garden maintenance is an advantage. Interest in gardening and plants. Willingness to do physical work outdoors.
Time required
The working hours are determined in consultation with the facilities. Flexibility is desirable.
Important notice
You should be able to deal with children and young people. Friendliness and patience are important qualities.Where?
