We are looking for committed volunteers who would like to help us with the garden maintenance of the outdoor area at the DRK-Freizi Neustadt

The German Red Cross Bremen District Association currently employs over 1,400 staff and around 800 volunteers in a wide variety of areas. In the spirit of humanity, we are committed to the life, health, well-being, protection, peaceful coexistence and dignity of all people.

The Neustadt Youth Recreation Center is THE place for leisure activities in Bremen's Neustadt district. The classic basics of a youth recreation center such as table football, billiards, darts and table tennis are complemented by an attractive outdoor area with a football pitch and garden. The large gymnasium, the dance and exercise room and the bicycle workshop create a balanced range of leisure and exercise activities. The screen printing workshop, graffiti and imaginative handicraft workshops in and around the building as well as adventure-based leisure activities round off the spectrum.

We are looking for volunteers who would like to help us with the garden maintenance of the outdoor area at Freizi Neustadt.

Your Tasks

Tasks: Mowing the lawn: You make sure that the lawn looks neat and tidy.
Maintaining the outside area: You keep the outside area clean and attractive.
Weeding: You'll remove weeds to keep the garden areas in good condition.
General gardening: This may include planting, repotting, fertilizing and caring for flowers, shrubs and trees, as well as foliage work. Working independently is important.

What's needed

You should know what needs to be done in a garden. Basic knowledge of garden maintenance is an advantage. Interest in gardening and plants. Willingness to do physical work outdoors.

Time required

The working hours are determined in consultation with the facilities. Flexibility is desirable.
