About Malteser Hilfsdienst e.V. - Schwerin

Target group(s)

To be there for people in need - that is our passion and our calling.

Malteser cares for people who need help. It does not matter why they are in need. We help the homeless, people with a newcomer backround, people with disabilities, young and old people.

For us, all people are valuable. We take personal responsibility for those seeking help in their respective situations and take them seriously in their distress.
Whoever works for Malteser therefore usually comes very close to others - because our task is to give people time and affection.

Funding

As a large full-time and voluntary service provider in the social sector, we have to think economically.

In Germany alone, Malteser International employs over 30,000 full-time staff. That is a lot of responsibility. In addition, we get public funds and donations for our charitable. We therefore handle our funds carefully. Donations are earmarked for specific purposes. If we generate surpluses, we invest them in our work. This distinguishes us from commercial providers

Objectives

The volunteers at Malteser Hilfsdienst are involved in disaster control and medical services as well as in first aid training or in voluntary social services. The foreign service supports partners all over the world and sends specialists to crisis areas. In hospice work, Malteser accompanies terminally ill people and their relatives. Games, sports and social commitment unite more than 6,000 members of Malteser Jugend ('Malteser Youth').

Your support helps

Your voluntary work supports the Schwerin Malteser in it's fight against loneliness of the elderly, the integration of people with migration and refugee experience and the mentoring of primary school children.
